More Questions? Contact WSTR.

Q: How do I install the WSTR tracking code in my web pages?
A: The WSTR tracking code can be copied and pasted into your web pages using a text editor (such as notepad) or HTML editor. For detailed instructions on installing the WSTR tracking code in your web pages, please see our installation instructions

Q: Do I need to put the HTML tag in each page of my site?
A: You need to put the HTML tag in each page that you want WSTR to track.

Q: What is FTP, and how do I use FTP to get my HTML web pages on my web server?
A: FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. You can use an FTP program to transfer your files from your desktop PC to your web server. After you install the WSTR code in your HTML pages, you will need to transfer your pages to your web server, using FTP. You can get a free FTP program, and learn more about FTP at FTP Planet.

Q: Will the Traffic Reports show the email address of the visitors?
A: No. Email addresses of the visitors are not sent through the HTTP protocol. Therefore, they can not be accessed by WSTR to be included in the report.

Q: I see HTML codes in my email reports, or the email reports appear garbled. Why?
A: Because the WSTR reports contain graphical content, they are emailed in HTML format. Most modern email programs (such as Microsoft Outlook) are automatically configured to properly display emails in HTML format. If your email program is not displaying the WSTR reports properly, try adjusting your settings or upgrade your email program to one that supports HTML formatted emails.

Q: How can I have WSTR stop sending me daily email reports?
A: Login to your account at www.websitetrafficreport.com, then click Account Options. Check the box captioned, 'Please do not send daily email reports'. WSTR will continue to track your site, and you can login to WSTR to view your reports online any time.

Q: How do I discontinue the WSTR serivce?
A: To discontinue using WSTR, simply remove the WSTR tracking code from your web pages.
